The top creel is the crown of the sculpture, the upside-down cone which creates continuity form the ground to the sky; its semitransparent structure is the connecting part to transport the sculpture spinning into the air whit dynamism and harmony. The dimensions of the sculpture are mt 12,00 Long x 12,00 large x12,00 Height. The main material is polished steel which characterizes the main central vertical item and the primary decorative beak/hook which represents a calla flower; glass and wood are the specific materials of the infrastructural items and grass and water represent nature as ones of the principal values and significates of the sculpture. The stem is flaring from the bottom to the top in the shape of a calla flower and becomes the base for the petals; it is made of polished steel to be lighten from the reflection of all the actors around it: people, nature, fauna, sun and moon light; The intent is to create an alive item, not static, as for its interaction with the environment around it; The stem is embraced by a system of bamboo poles to create a semitransparent curtain; The curved run of the embracement adds dynamism and lightness to the stem’s volume almost taking the physical effect of it. The rhythm of the bamboo poles represents a spiral as for the strong significate of it: dynamism, continuity of life, the evolution of the people’s cultures. They are almost a wheel, ending the spiral concept in an even accelerated dynamism. The upper surface of the petals is painted in white, light-blue-red-purple- yellow colors visible for the air with the intention to transmit the flower theme also on the surfaces which are not visible from the floor; In an urban environment the upper side of the petals will be visible form higher buildings; Blossom will be visible from all the passing by aircrafts as a strong sign in the landscape. The top of the sculpture is decorated by a water fountain characterized by a vertical spring to significate the maximum elevation of the philosophy of the sculpture: a non-physical elevation because of the softness of the water but perceptible by the people as for the visual and sound effect. A specific light design by led sources will make Blossom alive also at night and could be utilized to celebrate local, national and special events highlighting different colors of the lights as for their spectrum and color temperature. It animates and brightens the sculpture as for different colors controlled by a centralized panel playng different scenarios. A music surrounding system plays a background melody to make the sculpture comfortable on all the people’s senses. “The scene of an art peace and of a built architecture creates a mystic and confidential involvement of the visitors also discovering the different perspective of the integration between the sculpture, the environment and the landscape, from different points of views and different heights through different form close and far horizons.” -------- Registration number INT1394 Gateway to India. The 15 mts height is motivated by the intention to spin the sculpture into the air as an aircraft’s take off; the eventual elimination of the creel could press the sculpture vertically to the ground. The main material is polished steel which characterizes the stem; glass and wood are the materials of the infrastructural items and grass and water represent nature as ones of the principal values and significates of the sculpture. The external staircase made of wood and glass becomes the spiral which lightens the structure connecting to the petals in a windmill effect. The top creel is the crown of the sculpture, the upside-down cone which creates continuity form the ground to the sky; its semitransparent structure is the connecting part to transport the sculpture spinning into the air whit dynamism and harmony. The materials’ board includes: - steel (polished and painted) for the main structure - glass for the staircase and the petals’ rails - wood for the decorative cladding profiles - wood for the top level creel - glass for the lift’s cabin - soft rubber for the petals’ flooring - grass and sustainable tiles for the access path to the sculpture - water for the perimeter frame of the lot The stem has a cylinder shape which becomes the base for the petals; it is made of polished steel to be lighten from the reflection of all the actors around it: people, nature, fauna, sun and moon light; The intent is to create an alive item, not static, as for its interaction with the environment around it; It is embraced by a system of bamboo poles to create a semitransparent curtain; the curved run of the embracement adds dynamism and lightness to the stem’s volume almost taking the physical effect of it. The operating engine will be recessed under the water garden and the cabin landing structure on the top is a very simple and transparent system. The stem is decorated and enriched by the glass and wood staircase. The spiral staircase is made of bamboo wood for the steps and security glass for the balustrade which helps the visitors during the ascent and the descent in combination with the steel/wood internal handrail.
